Frequently asked questions.

  • Absolutely! Our experiences are designed around connection. You will have the opportunity to meet and share your experience with other like-minded people, maybe even gain a new friend or two. Or, if you looking for quiet and rest, we will ensure you have plenty of solo time.

  • We believe it is important to keep the group size small to ensure we can fully experience the peace, quiet, and power of these special places. Group size is typically limited to 4-10 guests. See the experience details for exact group size.

We can accommodate all group sizes on custom trips.

  • No. We want you to use this time in whatever way feels right to you. Not sure what you need? We can help you with that. The opening and closing circles are designed to around intention and reflection, helping you connect with what you most need to help you feel whole and healthy. You are welcome to join in or opt out of any part of the experience.

  • Not at all. Our retreats are held in comfortable lodges, homes, and cabins with full amenities. On overnight river trips, you will need to be able to walk on uneven ground and get in and out of rubber rafts (we can provide a helpful hand). You will be sleeping in a tent with raised cots.

  • We provide a detailed gear list for all of our experiences. On overnight river trips, you will need to bring your own sleeping bag and we will provide the rest of the camping gear. You will be provided a large dry bag for your sleeping bag and clothes. You are welcome to bring your own tent if you prefer privacy.

  • Not unless you want to. You will be sharing a roomy tent with one other person. Tents are 6’ in height and have plenty of room for your gear. Each person will have a cot, comfortable sleeping pad, and a pillow.

  • The bathroom facilities include a portable toilet system known as a "groover". It is a stable, stainless steel toilet that includes a raised toilet seat. There is toilet paper, wet wipes, and hand sanitizer provided. A hand washing station is available outside the tent.

  • Our meals are prepared by our team using whole, fresh, and locally-sourced ingredients whenever possible. Some retreats are held at all-inclusive facilities where meals are prepared by an on-site chef. We are happy to accommodate dietary restrictions.

  • No, but we always have a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. You are welcome to bring some beer, wine, or spirits. We ask that you not bring glass on your river trip - you know, inflatable boats and all.

  • We pay our crew a fair rate, so while gratuities are not required, they are always welcome for exceptional service and a job well done. Tips can be given to the trip leader at the end for equal distribution among the crew or you can give tips individually. It is customary to tip 10%-20% of the trip, but how much you tip is up to you and your satisfaction with the crew and trip.

  • Most of our experiences will be near the Bozeman or Billings, MT airports. Both of these airports offer multiple direct flights from major airline hubs. We will let you know which airport is the closest upon booking.

  • No, but there multiple options for transportation that we are happy to share with you. You can rent a car, Uber, and reserve a shuttle. We can also coordinate with other people on the trip to share transportation if that is of interest.

  • We hope our experiences will transform you; therefore, opportunities for personal development are infused into everything we do. We begin and end each experience gathered in a circle. These facilitated discussions are designed to connect you to the place, yourself, and each other. You will be invited to participate in the way you are most comfortable. During closing circles we will reflect on the day and experience, sharing your learning and growth.

  • The $500 non-refundable deposit can be applied to another experience within 12 months. It can only be reapplied one time.
